To
begin her career in healing arts, Rae received certification
from the Potomac Massage Training Institute in 1983. She is
a certified Acupressure Massage Technician, 1992, having studied
with Michael Reed Gach, founder and director of the Acupressure
Institute in Berkeley,CA., She studied
Russian Sports Massage with Zhenya Kurashova Wine, founder of
the Kurashova
Institute in Rock Island, IL.
Training and experience in Zen Shiatsu and Myofascial Release augment Rae's technical ability. She is a Certified member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals. Many practicing massage therapists have been inspired by Rae in her role as an instructor at Daniels Institute of Holistic Health and Virginia Western Community College Massage Therapy Certification program. Rae has lived and provided massage therapies in the Roanoke Valley since 1985. She is married and has a son, and lives in a secluded home in the woods of Salem, Virginia.
